Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Otay Ranch Mustangs (Chula Vista, CA) and the visiting Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns (Vista, CA), saw Otay Ranch's basketball squad hold off Rancho Buena Vista by a tally of 44-43.

With the victory, Otay Ranch improves its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Sage Creek (Carlsbad, CA) to confront the Bobcats in a challenge on Wednesday, January 3. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 3-1.
