Michigan High School Basketball - Monroe holds off Whiteford
December 13, 2023: Monroe, MI 48161 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Monroe Trojans (Monroe, MI) and the visiting Whiteford Bobcats (Ottawa Lake, MI), saw Monroe's basketball squad hold off Whiteford by a tally of 38-35.
With the victory, Monroe improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Saline (Saline, MI) to confront the Hornets in a Southeastern - Red challenge on Friday, December 15. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Saline won 59-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Riverview (Riverview, MI)
Next up, the Bobcats confront the Erie-Mason Eagles (Erie, MI) in a Tri-County challenge, on Friday, December 15. Whiteford will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 45-25 non-league loss to St. Mary Catholic Central (Monroe, MI).
