December 13, 2023: Hudson, NC 28638 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Hickory Red Tornadoes (Hickory, NC) and the host South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), saw Hickory's basketball squad overcome South Caldwell by a tally of 34-16.
With the victory, Hickory improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Red Tornadoes host Freedom (Morganton, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Freedom lost 56-30 in their recent non-league challenge against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC)
Next up, the Spartans play the West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 14. South Caldwell will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 47-15 non-league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).
