In Friday's non-league test, the Arp Tigers (Arp, TX) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Henderson Lions (Henderson, TX), by a score of 85-76.

Next, the Tigers encounter the Troup Tigers (Troup, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 test, on Tuesday, December 17. Arp will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 10-3 record after their 51-45 non-league loss to Cumberland Academy (Tyler, TX).
