The Berkley Bears basketball squad (Berkley, MI), was nudged 57-55 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Franklin Patriots (Livonia, MI)

With the victory, Franklin advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Patriots host Fordson (Dearborn, MI) to meet the Tractors in a Kensington Lakes battle on Thursday, December 19. The Tractors enter the battle with a record of 1-3.

The Bears now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pontiac for a Oakland - Blue battle on Tuesday, December 17. Berkley will meet a Phoenix squad coming off a 55-47 non-league loss to Churchill (Livonia, MI). The Phoenix record now stands at 2-3.
