The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Yates Lions (Houston, TX) and the visiting Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX), observed Yates's basketball team knock off Fort Bend Hightower by a score of 86-69.

The Lions (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Northside (Houston, TX). The Panthers come into the 4A Region III District 20 challenge with a 1-8 record. In their last challenge, Northside dropped by Cesar E. Chavez (Houston, TX), 62-55, in a non-league challenge.
