In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Pope John Paul II Knights basketball team scored a big 79-40 triumph over the Hardin Valley Academy Hawks.

The Knights (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Maryville (Maryville, TN). The Red Rebels go into the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, Maryville was trounced by Webb (Knoxville, TN), 67-49, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Greeneville Greene Devils (Greeneville, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 14.
