New York High School Basketball - Newfield nips Johnson City
December 13, 2024: Johnson City, NY 13790 In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Newfield Trojans basketball team scored a close 72-68 triumph over the Johnson City Wildcats.
The Trojans (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Tioga (Tioga Center, NY). The Tigers go into the Section 4 Interscholastic - South Small contest with a 0-0 record.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Athens Wildcats (Athens, PA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 14. Johnson City will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 66-63 league loss to North Penn-Liberty (Liberty, PA).
