The New Summerfield Hornets basketball squad (New Summerfield, TX), was crushed 75-42 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Marshall Christian Academy Guardians (Marshall, TX)

With the victory, Marshall Christian Academy advances its record to 5-7 on the year. The Guardians travel to Liberty-Eylau (Texarkana, TX) to meet the Leopards in a non-league battle on Friday, December 20. The Leopards enter the battle with a record of 13-0.

The Hornets now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Overton for a 2A Region III District 22 battle on Tuesday, December 17. New Summerfield will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 39-26 non-league win over White Oak (White Oak, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-2.
