December 13, 2024: Glenwood, MN 56334 Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Menahga Braves (Menahga, MN), 91-41 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Minnewaska Area advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Lakers travel to Montevideo (Montevideo, MN) to face the Thunderhawks in a AA Section 3 match on Tuesday, December 17. The Thunderhawks enter the match with a record of 5-0. Montevideo won 75-60 in their recent league match against Luverne (Luverne, MN)
The Braves now own a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Barnesville for a AA Section 8 match on Tuesday, December 17. Menahga will face a Trojans squad coming off a 58-54 league loss to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (Glyndon, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 1-3.
