December 13, 2024: Saegertown, PA 16433 Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Saegertown Panthers (Saegertown, PA), 72-48 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Mercyhurst Prep upgrades its record to 1-2 on the year. The Lakers travel to Grove City (Grove City, PA) to face the Eagles in a District 10 Region 4 match on Friday, December 20. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 3-2.
The Panthers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Union City for a District 10 Region 2 match on Tuesday, December 17. Saegertown will face a Bears squad coming off a 60-27 non-league loss to Fort LeBoeuf (Waterford, PA). The Bears record now stands at 2-2.
