In Friday's non-league contest, the host Wood Memorial Trojans basketball team scored a close 47-43 triumph over the Perry Central Commodores.

The Trojans (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against White River Valley (Switz City, IN). The Wolverines go into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, White River Valley was tipped by North Central (Farmersburg, IN), 51-46, in a league contest.
