In Friday's non-league contest, the host South Hills Scorpions basketball team scored a good 62-51 triumph over the Uplift Ascend Prep Eagles.

The Scorpions (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Trimble Tech (Fort Worth, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region I District 7 contest with a 0-14 record.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Newman International Academy Warriors (Arlington, TX) in a TCSAAL contest, on Monday, December 16. Uplift Ascend Prep will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record.
