Illinois High School Basketball - Anna-Jonesboro overwhelms Cobden
December 13, 2025: Anna, IL 62906 The Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats basketball team scored 74 points and limited the visiting Cobden Appleknockers to 24 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Wildcats now have a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cairo for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. Anna-Jonesboro will confront a Pilots team coming off a 80-75 non-league loss to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL). The Pilots record now stands at 4-4.
With the loss, Cobden falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Appleknockers travel to Egyptian (Tamms, IL) to clash with the Pharaohs in a South Egyptian outing on Monday, December 15. The Pharaohs come into the outing with a record of 1-3. Egyptian lost 64-56 in their recent non-league outing against Agape Christian (Energy, IL)
