In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Shepherd Pirates basketball team scored a good 62-50 triumph over the Aransas Pass Panthers.

The Pirates (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX). The Trojans go into the non-league match with a 1-12 record. In their last match, Coldspring-Oakhurst was dropped by West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX), 44-35, in a non-league match.

The Panthers now sport a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to King for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 16. Aransas Pass will face a Brahmas squad coming off a 78-67 non-league win over Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX). The Brahmas record now stands at 4-8.
