Central Valley Hawks (Ceres, CA) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Calaveras Red Hawks (San Andreas, CA), 48-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Central Valley advances its record to 5-4 on the year. The Hawks travel to Hughson (Hughson, CA) to battle the Huskies in a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 16. The Huskies come into the contest with a record of 3-3. Hughson won 68-46 in their recent non-league contest against Riverbank (Riverbank, CA)

In their next game, the Red Hawks battle the Escalon Cougars (Escalon, CA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 18. Calaveras will attempt to better on its 5-5 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 59-56 non-league win over River Islands (Lathrop, CA).
