Texas High School Basketball - Channelview can't hold off New Caney
December 13, 2025: Channelview, TX 77530 The New Caney Eagles nudged the host Channelview Falcons basketball team by a margin of 49-43 in Saturday's non-league game.
The Eagles now have a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Oak Ridge for a 6A Region II District 13 game on Tuesday, December 16. New Caney will confront a War Eagles team coming off a 69-51 non-league loss to Strake Jesuit (Houston, TX). The War Eagles record now stands at 8-7.
With the loss, Channelview falls to 1-11 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Dekaney (Houston, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 7-3. Dekaney won 65-61 in their recent non-league game against A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX)
