Gross Catholic Cougars (Omaha, NE) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Platteview Trojans (Springfield, NE), 60-59 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Gross Catholic advances its record to 5-0 on the year. The Cougars host Pius X (Lincoln, NE) to face the Thunderbolts in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 16. The Thunderbolts enter the match with a record of 2-4. Pius X won 64-56 in their recent non-league match against Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE)

The Trojans now own a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beatrice for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 16. Platteview will face a Orangemen squad coming off a 66-47 non-league loss to Aurora (Aurora, NE). The Orangemen record now stands at 1-3.
