The Jay Mustangs basketball squad (San Antonio, TX), was crushed 78-45 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX)

With the victory, Pieper advances its record to 13-2 on the year. The Warriors travel to Veterans Memorial (San Antonio, TX) to meet the Patriots in a 5A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, December 16. The Patriots go into the contest with a record of 11-4. Veterans Memorial won 61-50 in their recent non-league contest against Sotomayor (San Antonio, TX)

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 28 contest, on Friday, December 19. Jay will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 12-6 record after their 69-63 non-league loss to Seguin (Seguin, TX).
