The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lamar Thunder (Lamar, CO) and the host Sterling Tigers (Sterling, CO), observed Lamar's basketball team overwhelm Sterling by a score of 60-29.

The Thunder (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Buena Vista (Buena Vista, CO). The Demons come into the 4A/3A Tri-Peaks battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Buena Vista was crushed by Banning Lewis Academy (Colorado Springs, CO), 70-25, in a league battle.

The Tigers now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Platte Valley for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 16. Sterling will meet a Broncos squad coming off a 58-45 non-league win over Northridge (Greeley, CO). The Broncos record now stands at 2-2.
