California High School Basketball - Golden Valley holds off Orestimba
December 13, 2025: Merced, CA 95341 The Golden Valley Cougars basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Orestimba Warriors to 56 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cougars now possess a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ceres for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 16. Golden Valley will clash with a Bulldogs squad coming off a 59-11 non-league loss to Summerville (Tuolumne, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-5.
The Warriors (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against Amador (Sutter Creek, CA). The Buffaloes enter the non-league outing with a 1-4 record. In their last outing, Amador was nipped by Argonaut (Jackson, CA), 43-37, in a non-league outing.
