In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Pius X Thunderbolts basketball team scored a good 53-45 triumph over the Bellevue West Thunderbirds.

The Thunderbolts (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Blue Springs South (Blue Springs, MO). The Jaguars go into the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Blue Springs South was topped by Staley (Kansas City, MO), 85-29, in a league match.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marian for a non-league match on Thursday, December 18. Bellevue West will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 62-57 non-league loss to Millard South (Omaha, NE). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-2.
