Texas High School Basketball - Columbus fells Rockdale
December 13, 2025: Rockdale, TX 76567 The Columbus Cardinals basketball team scored 38 points and limited the host Rockdale Tigers to 26 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cardinals now possess a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edna for a 3A Region IV District 25 outing on Tuesday, December 16. Columbus will clash with a Cowboys squad coming off a 58-34 non-league win over Sweeny (Sweeny, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 13-3.
The Tigers (3-11) will now prepare for their outing against C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX). The Yoemen come into the 3A Region III District 19 outing with a 7-7 record. In their last outing, C.H. Yoe was defeated by Hempstead (Hempstead, TX), 60-51, in a non-league outing.
