East Thunderbirds (Cheyenne, WY) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Star Valley Braves (Afton, WY), 44-39 in a non-league match.

With the victory, East advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Thunderbirds travel to Sidney (Sidney, NE) to face the Red Raiders in a non-league match on Thursday, December 18. The Red Raiders enter the match with a record of 4-0. Sidney won 50-26 in their recent non-league match against Yuma (Yuma, CO)

The Braves now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glenrock for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 18. Star Valley will clash with a Herders squad coming off a 62-44 non-league win over Rocky Mountain (Cowley, WY). The Herders record now stands at 2-0.
