Game Story

Texas High School Basketball - Ponder succumbs to Fairfield

December 13, 2025: Fairfield, TX 75840

The Fairfield Eagles defeated the visiting Ponder Lions basketball squad by a final score of 50-35 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, TX) in a 3A Region III District 20 outing, on Tuesday, December 16. Fairfield will attempt to move on its 14-1 season record. The Bison go into the bout with a 15-0 record after their 55-44 non-league win over LaPoynor (LaRue, TX).

With the loss, Ponder falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Pilot Point (Pilot Point, TX) to play the Bearcats in a 3A Region II District 10 test on Tuesday, December 16. The Bearcats come into the test with a record of 1-7. Pilot Point lost 43-10 in their recent non-league test against Aubrey (Aubrey, TX)
