Colorado High School Basketball - Standley Lake smashes Niwot

December 13, 2025: Niwot, CO 80503

In Saturday's non-league test, the Standley Lake Gators (Westminster, CO) basketball squad trounced the host Niwot Cougars (Niwot, CO), by a score of 63-20.

Next, the Gators encounter the Frederick Golden Eagles (Frederick, CO) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, December 16. Standley Lake will attempt to improve on its 4-0 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 56-43 non-league win over Grand Junction (Grand Junction, CO).

With the loss, Niwot falls to 4-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Pomona (Arvada, CO) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 16. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Pomona lost 52-28 in their recent non-league test against Adams City (Commerce City, CO)
