In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Loyd Star Hornets soccer squad scored a nice 8-0 triumph over the Mendenhall Tigers.

Next, the Hornets face the Bogue Chitto Bobcats (Bogue Chitto, MS) in a Class 1 Region 7 game, on Tuesday, December 16. Loyd Star will attempt to advance on its 9-1 season record. The Bobcats come into the game with a 6-2 record after their 7-0 league win over West Marion (Foxworth, MS).
