December 13, 2025: Petal, MS 39465 The Petal Panthers soccer squad scored 1 points and held the visiting Ocean Springs Greyhounds to 0 in the Panthers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Panthers now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Central for a non-league game on Monday, December 15. Petal will face a Hornets team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Greene County (Leakesville, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Ocean Springs moves to 6-1 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS) to encounter the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 13. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 4-0. Oak Grove won 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Poplarville (Poplarville, MS)
