Michigan High School Basketball - Napoleon nips Western
December 14, 2021: Napoleon, MI 49261 Napoleon Pirates (Napoleon, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Western Panthers (Parma, MI), 49-45 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Napoleon upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Pirates host Manchester (Manchester, MI) to play the Flying Dutchmen in a Cascades bout on Thursday, December 16. The Flying Dutchmen come into the bout with a record of 0-2. Manchester lost 45-44 in their recent league bout against Madison (Adrian, MI)
Next up, the Panthers play the Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI) in a Interstate Eight bout, on Friday, December 17. Western will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Mounties come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 70-38 league loss to Pennfield (Battle Creek, MI).
