The Wynford Royals basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Elgin Comets to 26 in the Royals non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Royals now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ontario for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 4.

The Comets (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH). The Tigers enter the Northwest Central contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Waynesfield-Goshen was routed by Parkway (Rockford, OH), 69-28, in a non-league contest.
