December 14, 2022: New Martinsville, WV 26155 The John Marshall Monarchs (Glen Dale, WV) basketball nipped the host Magnolia Blue Eagles (New Martinsville, WV), 60-54 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Monarchs (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Weir (Weirton, WV). The Red Riders go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Weir was tipped by Wheeling Park (Wheeling, WV), 80-64, in a non-league test.
The Blue Eagles now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe Central for a Ohio Valley AAA test on Tuesday, December 20. Magnolia will encounter a Seminoles squad coming off a 64-48 league loss to Caldwell (Caldwell, OH). The Seminoles record now stands at 5-2.
