December 14, 2022: Suffolk, VA 23434 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Petersburg Crimson Wave (Petersburg, VA), by a count of 70-16.
The Cavaliers (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against Western Branch (Chesapeake, VA). The Bruins go into the Southeastern outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Western Branch smashed Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA), 75-21, in a non-league outing.
The Crimson Wave now hold a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Meadowbrook for a Central outing on Thursday, December 15. Petersburg will clash with a Monarchs squad coming off a 72-35 league loss to Prince George (Prince George, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 0-4.
