December 14, 2022: Clifton, IL 60927 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the La Salette Academy Lions (Georgetown, IL) and the host Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL), saw La Salette Academy's basketball squad knock off Clifton Central by a tally of 31-17.
With the victory, La Salette Academy improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Horizon Science Academy-Southwest (Chicago, IL) to play the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 20. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 2-2.
Next up, the Comets play the Tolono Unity Rockets (Tolono, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. Clifton Central will attempt to improve on its 3-3 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 47-44 non-league loss to Champaign Central (Champaign, IL).
