The East Wilkes Cardinals basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host West Iredell Warriors to 39 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Stokes for a non-league contest on Friday, December 16. East Wilkes will battle a Sauras team coming off a 35-29 non-league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 2-5.

The Warriors (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, St. Stephens was nudged by Bandys (Catawba, NC), 45-38, in a non-league contest.
