North Carolina High School Basketball - West Columbus nudges South Brunswick
December 14, 2022: Cerro Gordo, NC 28430 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), by a count of 58-57.
The Vikings (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Scorpions come into the non-league challenge with a 4-3 record. In their last challenge, North Brunswick was edged by Laney (Wilmington, NC), 76-73, in a non-league challenge.
Next up, the Cougars play the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 16. South Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 48-25 non-league win over Ashley (Wilmington, NC).
