Avon Falcons (Avon, CT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Wethersfield Eagles (Wethersfield, CT), 51-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Avon upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Falcons travel to Rocky Hill (Rocky Hill, CT) to play the Terriers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 19. The Terriers go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Rocky Hill lost 63-62 in their recent non-league bout against Stafford (Stafford Springs, CT)

Next up, the Eagles play the Windsor Locks Raiders (Windsor Locks, CT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 20. Wethersfield will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 70-55 league win over Rockville (Vernon, CT).
