Michigan High School Basketball - Douglass can't hold off Imlay City
December 14, 2023: Imlay City, MI 48444 The Imlay City Spartans basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Douglass Hurricanes to 51 in the Spartans non-league victory on Thursday.
The Spartans now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Algonac for a Blue Water Area contest on Friday, December 15. Imlay City will battle a Muskrats team coming off a 73-38 league loss to North Branch (North Branch, MI). The Muskrats record now stands at 0-5.
The Hurricanes (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Academy of the Americas (Detroit, MI). The come into the Detroit Public II contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Academy of the Americas was nudged by Central (Detroit, MI), 70-17, in a league contest.
