The Mountain Pointe Pride basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting South Mountain Jaguars to 47 in the Pride non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pride now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Horizon for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Mountain Pointe will battle a Huskies team coming off a 51-34 non-league win over Maricopa (Maricopa, AZ). The Huskies record now stands at 3-10.

The Jaguars (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Fairfax (Laveen, AZ). The Stampede enter the 5A Metro contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Fairfax ran past Sierra Linda (Phoenix, AZ), 64-22, in a league contest.
