In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Rio Linda Knights basketball team scored a tight 71-64 triumph over the Valley Christian Lions.

In their next game, the Knights meet the Nevada Union Miners (Grass Valley, CA) in a Foothill Valley match, on Friday, December 15. Rio Linda will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Miners enter the match with a 9-3 record after their 71-30 non-league win over Wheatland (Wheatland, CA).
