Arkansas High School Basketball - Quitman overwhelms Atkins
December 14, 2023: Quitman, AR 72131 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, AR) and the visiting Atkins Red Devils (Atkins, AR), saw Quitman's basketball squad wallop Atkins by a tally of 73-37.
With the victory, Quitman improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to White County Central (Judsonia, AR) to play the Bears in a 2A Region 2 challenge on Friday, December 15. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 1-14. White County Central lost 80-54 in their recent league challenge against Izard County (Brockwell, AR)
Next up, the Red Devils play the Lamar Warriors (Lamar, AR) in a 3A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Atkins will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record.
