New Mexico High School Basketball - Escalante can't hold off Gateway Christian
December 14, 2023: Roswell, NM 88201 The Gateway Christian Warriors basketball team scored 35 points and restricted the visiting Escalante Lobos to 33 in the Warriors non-league victory on Thursday.
The Warriors now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Sumner/House for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Gateway Christian will battle a team coming off a 45-16 non-league win over Capitan (Capitan, NM). The record now stands at 3-2.
The Lobos (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Capitan (Capitan, NM). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Capitan was nudged by Fort Sumner/House (Fort Sumner, NM), 45-16, in a non-league contest.
