West Virginia High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge nips Hampshire
December 14, 2023: Romney, WV 26757 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) and the host Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV), saw Mountain Ridge's basketball squad hold off Hampshire by a tally of 42-35.
With the victory, Mountain Ridge improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Miners host Shalom Christian Academy (Chambersburg, PA) to play the Flames in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 18. The Flames come into the challenge with a record of 1-2.
Next up, the Trojans play the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. Hampshire will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record.
