Alaska High School Basketball - Juneau-Douglas crushes Nome-Beltz
December 14, 2023: Nome, AK 99762 Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears (Juneau, AK) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Nome-Beltz Nanooks (Nome, AK), 54-29 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Juneau-Douglas upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Crimson Bears travel to Colony (Palmer, AK) to clash with the Knights in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Nanooks clash with the Barrow Whalers (Utqiagvik, AK) in a 3A Western bout, on Friday, February 16. Nome-Beltz will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
