In Thursday's non-league match, the host South Mountain Jaguars basketball team scored a tight 48-46 triumph over the Mountain Pointe Pride.

In their next game, the Jaguars meet the Central Bobcats (Phoenix, AZ) in a 5A Metro match, on Tuesday, January 9. South Mountain will attempt to move on its 6-4 season record.
