Missouri High School Basketball - Platte County crushes Van Horn
December 14, 2023: Independence, MO 64053 Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Van Horn Falcons (Independence, MO), 65-13 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Platte County upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Pirates host Smithville (Smithville, MO) to play the Warriors in a Freelance bout on Monday, December 18. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 5-1.
Next up, the Falcons play the St. Michael the Archangel Guardians (Lee's Summit, MO) in a Crossroads bout, on Tuesday, December 19. Van Horn will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Guardians come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 54-36 non-league loss to Platte County (Platte City, MO).
