December 14, 2023: Talihina, OK 74571 The Poteau Pirates basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the host Talihina Golden Tigers to 25 in the Pirates non-league victory on Thursday.
The Pirates now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Roland for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Poteau will battle a Rangers team coming off a 61-43 league win over Poteau (Poteau, OK). The Rangers record now stands at 3-1.
The Golden Tigers (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Rattan (Rattan, OK). The Rams come into the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, Rattan dropped by Pocola (Pocola, OK), 54-36, in a non-league contest.
