Indiana High School Basketball - New Prairie nips Jimtown
December 14, 2023: New Carlisle, IN 46552 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN) and the visiting Jimtown Jimmies (Elkhart, IN), saw New Prairie's basketball squad hold off Jimtown by a tally of 24-20.
With the victory, New Prairie improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cougars host Penn (Mishawaka, IN) to play the Kingsmen in a challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Kingsmen come into the challenge with a record of 10-3.
Next up, the Jimmies play the South Central Satellites (Union Mills, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 19. Jimtown will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Satellites come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 41-15 league loss to Washington Township (Valparaiso, IN).
