California High School Basketball - Whittier tops Montebello
December 14, 2023: Montebello, CA 90640 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Whittier Cardinals (Whittier, CA) and the host Montebello Oilers (Montebello, CA), saw Whittier's basketball squad knock off Montebello by a count of 52-32.
With the victory, Whittier upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Bell Gardens (Bell Gardens, CA) to play the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 15. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Bell Gardens lost 54-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Serra (Gardena, CA)
Next up, the Oilers play the Covina Colts (Covina, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 18. Montebello will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Colts come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 55-28 non-league win over Edgewood (West Covina, CA).
