In Saturday's non-league test, the Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Boyd Yellowjackets (Boyd, TX), by a score of 69-52.

Next, the Mustangs encounter the Wall Hawks (Wall, TX) in a 3A Region I District 6 test, on Friday, December 20. Sweetwater will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record.

The Yellowjackets (3-13) will now prepare for their test against Alvord (Alvord, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Alvord was knocked off by Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX), 60-49, in a non-league test.
