In Saturday's non-league test, the Boys Ranch Roughriders (Boys Ranch, TX) basketball squad defeated the host Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX), by a final score of 48-35.

Next, the Roughriders clash with the Channing Eagles (Channing, TX) in a 1A Region I District 3 test, on Tuesday, December 17. Boys Ranch will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record.
